Conference Space at Mayway
Our conference room is available for classes, lectures, and meetings. In addition to the beautiful décor it has a small podium, a white board, a projector, a screen for slide shows and tables and chairs. It will accommodate 50 people with tables and up to 100 people with chairs only. Conference Space Details - Total size is approximately 1200 sq. ft. with 10.5 ft. ceilings. These measurements include a raised stage at front of the room, which is approximately 15ft. wide and 6ft. deep. Availability & Pricing - The room is available from 9 am to 5 pm. It is not available for evening events at this time, but arrangements can be made to hold events up to 7 pm. Please call Laura Stropes at 510-208-3113, ext. 8138 for pricing information and availability. Mayway Presentation - Please allow us to make a ten-minute Mayway product presentation. If your group is interested we can also present a more in-depth manufacturing slide show. Reservations - Please allow 4-6 weeks notice to schedule events. Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of the deposit. Event Promotions - As part of the conference space rental we also offer several types of free promotions. We will post you event on our website homepage and in the lecture area on our site, as well as send out your brochures in our boxes, and an e-mail announcement to our customers. If your event is scheduled far enough in advance, we will also put an announcement in our tri-annual newsletter. Refreshments - A staging area for serving refreshments is available in the showroom adjacent to the conference room. Fruits, light snacks, tea, coffee, and cold water will be available to your attendees with our compliments. 15% Discount on Herbs - At the event, participants will receive a discount coupon for 15% off Plum Flower and Min Shan products, which is valid during the event and through the following week. Cancellation Policy - Please notify us of cancellations at least two weeks prior to the event for a full refund. A $100.00 cancellation fee may be deducted from the refund for cancellations made on short notice. Conference Space Logistical Information Parking - Ample street parking is available around our building and some parking is available on weekends inside the loading dock. Parking is available behind our building on Kirkham Street, except on Fridays. To prevent theft, please advise your participants not to leave belongings visible in their cars. Public Transportation - The West Oakland BART station is a few blocks away on 7th street and Mandela Parkway. Entry/Exit - We ask that all participants use the front door on Mandela Parkway. When parking in the rear of the building, please ask your participants to walk around to the front of the building and enter through the front door instead of entering through the back entrance loading dock. A sign to this effect will be posted at the back of the building and other signs will be posted within the building to lead them to the conference room. Facility Tour - A tour of our facility can be provided for your participants at your request. For safety and liability reasons we ask that participants not wander through the warehouse, offices or other areas of the building on their own. Security Deposit - A security deposit of $500.00 is required prior to the event to cover any possible damages. We welcome your visit to our facilities and will do our best to ensure that your group has an enjoyable and successful event here at Mayway.
