Huo Xiang
July 2006 There are two plants commonly used as the herb Huo Xiang. One is Huo Xiang /Agastache rugosa herb (also known as Tu Huo Xiang) and Guang Huo Xiang /Pogostemon cablin herb. Huo Xiang or Tu Huo Xiang /Agastache rugosa is of secondary quality and is less commonly used even in its native northern China. We carry Guang Huo Xiang /Pogostemon cablin herb in our Plum Flower® unsulfured herb line (code#5452SF whole herb). The dosage for Guang Huo Xiang is 3 to 9 grams of whole herb in decoction.
