2022 Price Increase Notice

Dear Valued Customer and Friends,
We hope that you are healthy and well as we all continue to adapt and thrive during these extraordinary times.
To sustain our commitment to supplying you with the highest quality products and services, we will be increasing prices at the beginning of next year. If you have received our regular newsletters and read the updates on herb supply difficulties (https://www.mayway.com/articles/fall-2021-herb-report ; https://www.mayway.com/articles/herb-supply-update-july-2021), you already know that every aspect of our industry has been affected by the pandemic. The single biggest challenge continues to be international shipping costs and logistics. As widely reported, this is affecting the supply chain in many other areas of commerce. Currently, these severe bottlenecks have resulted in the shipping cost for a container from China to be around $16,000-$20,000, as compared to around $4000 pre-pandemic.
Although we have done our best to keep costs down, this price adjustment is necessitated by many additional factors aside from the exorbitant transportation costs. These include increased costs for our high-quality herbs, higher wages throughout the supply chain, and additional quality control tests, among other factors. Also, it is important to note that here in the US, we are still paying import tariffs of 25% and there has been no indication of a roll-back from the current Administration.
We do understand that a price increase may impact your business, so here at Mayway we will continue to absorb the majority of cost increases, so that you can continue to support your patients with the highest quality herbal products.
