Charlotte Maxwell Clinic 2025 Giving Tuesday Update

|

Since 1991, the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic has been improving health outcomes and quality of life for San Francisco Bay Area low-income, under-served, and immigrant women with cancer. We do this by providing free access to compassionate, integrative care with our network of licensed and certified volunteer practitioners.

In 2025, Charlotte Maxwell Clinic continued to expand both the number of clients we serve and the number of clinic visits provided—ensuring that more women with cancer receive the comprehensive, compassionate care they deserve. We successfully launched a pilot workshop series designed to bring together survivors and clients in active treatment. These workshops offer a space for healing, connection, and community, and have quickly become one of our most in-demand offerings, with many sessions now having waitlists.

We also introduced a new lymphedema training program, which educates both practitioners and clients on the causes, prevention, and integrative treatment of lymphedema. This initiative not only enhances practitioner knowledge, but also empowers clients to actively participate in their own healing and recovery.

Together, these efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to providing integrative, community-rooted care that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

What's planned for 2026

In the coming year, Charlotte Maxwell Clinic will continue to expand the depth and reach of our integrative cancer care. Building on the growth and successes of 2025, we will serve more clients than any year prior, ensuring that every woman who comes to us receives comprehensive, compassionate support.

To meet growing demand, we will expand into a larger clinical space within our current location—allowing us to better accommodate our highly popular workshop series and increase access to care. Our core one-on-one services will continue to grow, providing personalized healing experiences that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each client.

We will also strengthen practitioner and client education, with several important topics being considered: trauma-informed neuropathy care, and the safe and integrative use of psychedelics for palliative and end-of-life care. These efforts reflect our commitment to staying at the forefront of compassionate, evidence-informed integrative care.

As we evolve, we are committed to deepening our inclusivity—learning from and with the communities we serve to ensure that our care reflects a growing understanding of gender and the diverse identities of those impacted by cancer. Through these initiatives, Charlotte Maxwell Clinic will continue to be a place of healing, dignity, and belonging—where every person facing cancer has access to care that nurtures the whole self.
