茶丸（TeaPill）得名于将生药低温冲泡成“茶”，然后制成圆形小药丸。这种药丸在亚洲已有近百年的生产历史！我们竹药房的许多产品都以茶丸的形式提供——你可以把茶丸想象成一小球浓缩的药汁。这种说法非常简单，但当你把它想象成模压的药草提取物而不是药物时，你就会明白为什么有时你需要一次服用8粒茶丸了！
茶丸的制作过程始于低温控温，将生药草浸泡在低温环境中，萃取药草精华，包括精油、维生素、色素、提取物和香料等药草本身的精华。之后，将“茶”真空密封，放入萃取器中，以确保药草混合物的药效不受影响。提取物进一步浓缩成糊状，然后与一种或多种药草粉混合，制成药草面团。将面团揉成小球，用机器纺成球状，再裹上一层薄薄的食用蜡，方便吞咽并保鲜（不添加防腐剂！）。最终成品是装在药柜里的小圆球。
