Acupuncturists without Borders Executive Director Diana Fried visited Mayway on June 7th 2006 to present slides, stories and lessons learned from their work with the community in New Orleans post flood disaster. She shared AWB’s ongoing commitment to address the enduring and tremendous need for relief in that area as residents continue to struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder. We also heard about their upcoming efforts to support veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

In September of 2005 Mayway donated $5,000 to help with this cause and began a matching pledge drive to raise additional funds. Together with you, our friends and customers, we were able to donate $1,324 more in November 2005. In January 2006 Mayway again donated an additional $1,000 to contribute to the ongoing need. At her presentation, Diana shared how much these donations assisted the organization getting the effort underway.

Currently Mayway is offering “Goodie Bags” in support of the “We Stand Bayou Pledge Drive”. The Goodie Bag comes in a free messenger tote bag, with a Mayway designed t-shirt, twelve Plum Flower® Traditional products, a Mayway catalog and product samples.
